Kim Kardashian and Ye have reached an agreement in their divorce, avoiding a trial scheduled for next month, according to court documents filed Tuesday.

The former couple and their attorneys submitted filings requesting a judge to approve the parameters they had agreed on, including Ye, then known as Kanye West, paying Kardashian $200,000 per month in child support.

According to the records filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, the two will have joint custody and neither will pay the other spousal support.

At Kardashian’s request, a judge declared the two legally single in March, terminating their eight-year marriage, but property and custody concerns remained, which were to be resolved in a trial beginning Dec. 14.

The couple has four children ranging in age from three to nine years.

According to the settlement plan, Kardashian and Ye will split the costs of their children’s private security and private education, including college.

The deal also stated that they will each pay their own obligations. The couple had a pre-nuptial agreement and kept their assets mostly separate.

The pair started dating in 2012, and their first kid was born in 2013. Later that year, West proposed on the large screen at the San Francisco Giants’ empty waterfront field, and the couple married on May 24, 2014, in a ceremony at a Renaissance stronghold in Florence, Italy.

When Kardashian originally filed for divorce in February 2021, it appeared like the two were on their way to a peaceful divorce on mutual terms. Neither publicly mentioned the breakup until early this year, when Ye began lashing out on social media at Kardashian, her family, and then-boyfriend Pete Davidson.

In an appearance with “Good Morning America” in September, Ye discussed his relationship with Kardashian. Earlier that month, the rapper took to Instagram to publicly share some of his private disagreements with Kardashian, such as where his children will attend school.
